Tsukihime Remake
We’re gonna kick off this New Year with some New Looks – official art from the upcoming Tsukihime remake has surfaced, showing off the new art direction, as well as redesigns for some of the ladies of the series.
Most notable are Arcueid and Ciel, who’ve found themselves with new hairdos and some rather trendy wardrobe updates. It seems a little odd to go tinkering with designs that have been firmly established in fans minds for some time now, but sometimes change is good. Also shown are Kohaku, Hisui, Akiha and Satsuki, although their design changes are more subtle.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya
And to round the post out a bit, a New Start – for an animated adaptation of a spin off series... that has been a manga for a while. So not entirely new, but still something!
Set to begin airing in 2013, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya will be animated by Silver Link – beyond that not much is known about the adaptation, but if you want to check Prisma Illya out ahead of time, manga scanlations are floating around the web and are just a search away. If you just want a quick summary, well: it’s Illya as a Magical Girl – but as with all things Fate, it’s a lot more complex than it sounds on the surface!
